Creating non-printing characters in Word
I have a document with some revision tracking information in the footer. I'd
like to have that information visible to a user, but not be visible on the printed document. Is there any way to accomplish this? |

Ken,
You could use hidden text with view options set to show hidden text and print optios set to exclude hidden text. Without a macro to set hidden text, your users would have to know to set it themselves. |

I was hoping there might be some simple routine that could be used to toggle any hidden text in the active document. Unfortunately, I'm not very familiar with the Word object model, so I'm not sure what properties would be involved. Any ideas on where I might find such information? Thanks for the assistance. |
