What version of Word? How are you changing the default font and margins?

Do you by any chance have Adobe Acrobat 7.0 installed?

I have word 2003, and I am changing them by going to format-font, setting the
font and clicking on default. I change the margins through page set up then clicking default. "garfield-n-odie" wrote: What version of Word? How are you changing the default font and margins? Ah, this is a newly discovered conflict between the Acrobat 7 PDFMaker.dot
and Word. Apparently the Acrobat add-in sets the Saved property of Normal.dot to True so Word doesn't think it needs saving. You can enforce your changes in one of two ways: 1. Open Normal.dot directly, make the changes, and save. 2. Make the changes in a document based on Normal.dot, then use Save All (press Shift while clicking on File to find this on the menu) to save the template along with the document). -- Suzanne S. Thank you. That did the trick. Now I have a similar problem. A custom toolbar
I set up disappears after I close word. I tried saving it in the normal template, but that doesn't work. "Suzanne S. You'd be better advised to start a new thread for this question, with an
appropriate subject line. Word 2003 is very slipshod about retaining display settings, and a macro may be required. -- Suzanne S. I am a frustrated Word 2003 user who also has Acrobat 6.0 Professional about
to install 7.0. I have gone to Windows ExplorerToolsFolder OptionsShow Hidden Files then did a search for normal.dot and get "does not exist". Is that possible? and if so why. I can't change anything and hope for it to last. What a mess! "Suzanne S. Barnhill" wrote: Do you by any chance have Adobe Acrobat 7.0 installed? -- Suzanne S.
