Default bold and inverse in office 2003 sp3 word using shortcuts?

hi,

at work i am using office 2003 sp3. when i write an email with outlook, i
can change my text to bold and inverse when using ctrl-b/ctrl-i.

however when writing a text with word these shortcuts do not work. is there
a way to enable it?

Default bold and inverse in office 2003 sp3 word using shortcuts?

In the Customize Keyboard dialog box, verify that Ctrl+B and Ctrl+I are
associated with the Bold and Italic commands, respectively.

To display the dialog box, click Tools | Customize, and then click the
Keyboard button.
