Default Printer Settings

When i go to FilePrintOptions (the icon bottom left of that window), a new
window comes up with all of these check boxes i have to check off or leave
like that. Which ones should i check off to have a normal microsoft word
template? What does update fields or update links mean? should i check these
off? i've already checked off background, A4, and draft output. What next?
Thanks!

If you mean you have disabled background printing and A4 resizing, I
personally would leave those enabled. Updating fields is highly recommended
to make sure that your TOC/index is up to date. Word updates some fields
(page numbers, for example) whether you have this checked or not.
