Default Accessing multiple word documents like slides are accessed in Powe

Is there a method to have multiple Word documents open and then switch
between them the way slide switching is done in Powr Point?

This would be much more convenient than the Windows switching from the tool
bar.

Both Control+F6 & Alt+F6 will switch from one open doc window to the next.
For more direct access to a specific open doc it's faster to use Alt+W (to
open the Window menu) then type the number of the open window as listed.
