Default Prevent style and formatting changes in a newly created document .

How do I prevent users altering the styles and formatting in documents they
have created from a company template ? The template is a newly formed global
template.
The newly created styles and formatting options in the template are set to
not Automatically Update so this hopefully prevents them from altering the
template itself.

Word 2003 permits style protection; Word 2002 does not.
