Default Doc Tab on toolbar in Word 2003

I am helping a friend who had someone put a document tab on the toolbar in
Word 2003. It shows the title of the document. I can open it to edit but no
changes are saved. How was it put there? Can it be edited?

It is a nifty idea if I knew how to do it.

Possibly a macro is being used to create this. You had better ask for
assistance in a programming newsgroup such as
microsoft.public.word.vba.general.
