Default Excel Worksheet Object, opens excel blank excel window.

Word 2007

I have a template that has an Excel Worksheet Object embedded in it.

It use to behave normally, when you double clicked the object, the table
would open inside the document, allowing you to make changes, then clicking
off the table will make the table go back inside the document. (excel would
not open)

Now for some reason, (I am guessing one of the security patches for Word.)
now causes an instance of excel (which is blank) to open a window. You can
click back to work on the document.

Anyway of getting it back to normal?
