Default Password protected document

I have created a document in word and saved it with a password.
I do not seem to get my password correct when trying to open the document.
Is there any way of getting around this unfortunate problem.

Realistically, no.

There are services which claim to be able to 'crack' such files for a fee,
but there are a number of variables that influence the effectiveness.
Besides, do you really want to give your credit card number to someone who
breaks into other people's files for a living?
