ungrouping taskbar buttons (MS Word)
I have unchecked "group similar task bar buttons" in the properties section
for the windows task bar (XP Home), and other programs have been fine for several months, except for Word 2003. It has only recently started to group all word documents under the one button which drives me mad and I can't get it to not do this. I need to alternate between documents regularly and this makes it impossible. Why is this happening? Any ideas? |

If it's already checked and you're still getting only one button, something in your setup is damaged (but I don't know what). -- Regards, Jay Freedman Microsoft Word MVP FAQ: http://word.mvps.org |

In addition to Jay Freedman's suggestion:
1. Repeatedly pressing Alt+F6 will cycle through all open Word documents, whether they are in separate "task bar buttons" or not. 2. Pressing Alt+W or clicking on the Window command will let you choose a specific open document to switch to. Word neither knows nor cares how Windows arranges task bar items - all that
Word does is tell Windows *what* to put in the task bar, not where or how. I would think this is a Windows issue and it would be better asked in a Windows newsgroup. -- Enjoy, Tony "Frustrated" wrote in message ...
