Backspace not working!!

Posts: n/a
Default Backspace does not delete!?!?!

I'd really appreciate some help. When I am trying to delete a word or letter
in Word I am unable to use my backspace button as, instead of deleting the
highlighted word it just brings my cursor to the front of what I highlighted.
However if I delete the word by pressing backspace individually for every
character I want deleted it worked fine....I am clueless as to why it should
be doing this...anyone else have any ideas?

Tools Options Edit (tab)
Check "Typing Replaces Selection"

Also, while you are in the Options dialog, click on the General tab and make
sure that both options that refer to Word Perfect are not checked.
