The "Home" key will not work in Word.
I have been trying to help a friend of mine. On her computer, in MS Word
2003, the "Home" key does not work - it does not send the cursor to the beginning of the line. It does work properly in other applications, just not in Word. I've tried going into "Tools|Customize|Options|Keyboard" and there's nothing there to help. I don't know where else to look. It seems like maybe there is something, somewhere, to toggle it on and off. Help? |

Hi, abretones. In Word, click on Tools | Options | General | uncheck the
"Navigation keys for WordPerfect users" box | OK. "abretones" wrote: I have been trying to help a friend of mine. Try Tools Options General
Make sure both options having to do with Word Perfect are unchecked. -- Charles Kenyon Word New User FAQ & Web Directory: http://addbalance.com/word Intermediate User's Guide to Microsoft Word (supplemented version of Microsoft's Legal Users' Guide) http://addbalance.com/usersguide See also the MVP FAQ: http://www.mvps.org/word which is awesome! --------- --------- --------- --------- --------- --------- This message is posted to a newsgroup. This is a simulation of the keys used in WordPerfect 5.1 for DOS; for example, pressing Home and then the left arrow key takes you to the left end of the line. Uncheck both options that mention WordPerfect. -- Regards, Jay Freedman Microsoft Word MVP FAQ: http://word.mvps.org |
