form field help
I created a form in Word and used the text form field for users to enter some
of the data. I was able to protect the document until I changed some of the text form fields to text boxes. I need to protect the form to keep users from changing it. Why won't it allow me to protect the document now?? |

form field help
If the inserted "text boxes" are ActiveX controls, the document is now in
Design mode, which explains why it can't be protected. Replace the controls with ordinary form fields, and then exit Design Mode. If you need detailed instructions, tell me your version of Word. -- Stefan Blom Microsoft Word MVP "Drea" wrote: I created a form in Word and used the text form field for users to enter some of the data.
