I'm trying to convert an old .bro file to a .doc file. The .bro file was
created using a Microsoft Word template, so I'm not sure why, first of all,
it won't open and, second of all, why I can't seem to convert it. Please
help!

According to http://filext.com/detaillist.php?extdetail=.bro, a .bro file
has no mention of ever having been a Word extension. (I didn't think it had
but I could have been wrong.) What makes you think it was created with Word?

I have Print Shop 21 and it says that a .bro file is a brochure in that
program. Could that be what you have?
