[Deadline]

Every time I open a new document in Word or attempt to compose a new email in
Outlook, the Adobe PDF toolbar appears. I can remove it for the specific
document by going to View and Toolbars and unchecking it, but it comes back
the next time I open a new document. How can I get it to go away and stay
away? I am using Word 2003, Windows XP. Thank you.

Thank you Suzanne, but I'm still not getting much of anywhere. The first
suggestion in the link you gave me reads, "A simple way to control the
irritation level is to park the toolbar at the end of the standard toolbar,
where it appears happy to remain." I'd been trying that for weeks, but the
toolbar is not happy to remain where it's put; it hops all over the place.
The other fixes, I fear, are above my technological skill level. I'm hoping
for something that will give me step-by-step instructions without having to
deal with code. Failing that, I will have to call in my IT people to fix it
for me, and I'm trying to avoid that. But thank you again, and I'm glad to
learn I'm not the only one being driven nuts by that thing.

I don't know what to say; my Adobe toolbar does stay parked at the end of my
Standard toolbar, but if your network setup includes a login script that
resets all settings to some corporate default, then this may not work for
you.
