TIA Select the text you want to format this way -- which I hope is only a paragraph or two, since any more would be terribly hard on the eyes! First go to Format Background & Shading, on the Shading tab, and select red for the color. Make sure the Apply To box says Paragraph, and click OK. Now go to Format Font and set the color to white, and click OK. -- Regards, Jay Freedman Microsoft Word MVP FAQ: http://word.mvps.org |

You often need to change the font to bold also: reversed type generally
appears lighter than the solid equivalent. "Jay Freedman" wrote in message ... Yes, either bold, or choose a font with uniform thick strokes. Thin
ones such as Times New Roman tend to disappear, especially if you're using an inkjet whose ink bleeds into the paper a bit. -- Regards, Jay Freedman Microsoft Word MVP FAQ: http://word.mvps.org On Sun, 25 Sep 2005 10:02:24 +1000, "Jezebel" wrote: You often need to change the font to bold also: reversed type generally appears lighter than the solid equivalent. How can I print with white lettering?
That's correct, unless you happen to have a special printer that has
white ink. See http://desktoppub.about.com/cs/printing/f/white_ink.htm for an explanation of why you're probably out of luck. -- Regards, Jay Freedman Microsoft Word MVP FAQ: http://word.mvps.org Email cannot be acknowledged; please post all follow-ups to the newsgroup so all may benefit.
