how to enlarge Cross-reference dialog box
hi all,
wxp pro sp2, office 2003 sp2, i am using Insert - Cross-reference function, which brought up the Cross-reference dialog box (the one where it asks for Reference type:, Insert reference to:, and For which caption:, and etc). is there a way to enlarge or at least widen the width of this (Cross-reference) dialog box? maybe there is somewhere a key somewhere in the registry to this dialog box behaviour e.g. setting the size of the dialog box. the reason i ask is because sometimes i am not unable to choose the caption without reading almost the entire caption. this would then necessitate me of having to go where the figure is (are), remember it (them) then going to back to the text to enter the Cross-reference. i am displaying Only label and number (i.e. Figure x) and i know one work around would be to choose to display the whole caption initially (to check) then delete them and re-insert the caption as only label and number but this would be counter-productive (but maybe necessary!). thank you for your advice/help, jes |

how to enlarge Cross-reference dialog box
Hi jes
I share your frustration! As far as I know, there's no way to change the size of that box. Hope this helps. Shauna Kelly.
