New Smartart chart color scheme
I know I can change the colour of individual elements in a Smartart chart,
but can I create my own colour scheme? The ones provided don't use the sequence of colours I want, and I'd rather not have to change every element of lower levels if there's a faster way. I have created my own template and Theme colours for text styles, but I'm not sure how to do it for something like this. Thanks for the help. Jo. |

Elements on the same level use the same Theme color. I don't think you can change that w/o applying manual formatting. New Smartart chart color scheme
Hi Robert,
Thanks very much for your reply. I think you're right for the most part. I kept fiddling with it and found that changing the theme did change the colours, but not necessarily to what I wanted. I found that by creating a colour set, I could control the colours for the first 2 or 3 levels of the hierarchy chart, but it was very awkward and imprecise, and I couldn't seem to set a colour for levels below that. As you suggest, I wound up just manually changing them. Thanks for confirming that, at least. :-) They're a great feature and I hope MS continues to provide more options for us users. Jo. "Robert M.
