How do I get the ~ above the n?

Do the Word2003 keystrokes no longer work? There, the sequence was Ctrl-Shift-~, n. |

How do I get the ~ above the n?
It is character 00F1 (Unicode) or 0241 (ASCII), as it has always been. There
