Default Citation & Bibliography

The first time the bibliography feature is accessed, it loads a lot of stuff
(master list, style list, ...). So it could be slow the first time. But
after that, things should go pretty fast.

What is the size of your master list? If it is large (over 500 records), you
might want to consider creating multiple master lists.

Just to check if it is not a file access issue (perhaps anti-virus), you
could try to copy your master file to the directory your document is in.
Then from the manage sources dialog, use the browse button to locate it. If
your document gets easily accessed from that directory, so should your
master list. So if that doesn't speed things up, it's probably not your
virus scanner.
