Is it possible to use PMS spot colors in Word 2007 Beta?
I work at a commercial printing company that accepts word documents from
customers. Is it/will it be possible to use PMS spot colors in Word 2007. I am running the beta now and still can't get the colors to separate as spot colors. When converted to .pdf, the colors come out RGB. Yes, it can be converted to 4-color process, but it is still not usable. |

It was never in Microsoft's design to make Word do color separations.
It's strictly an RGB (or HSL) application. It doesn't even attempt CMYK conversion, leaving that to the printer driver. This hasn't changed in 2007. -- Regards, Jay Freedman Microsoft Word MVP FAQ: http://word.mvps.org Email cannot be acknowledged; please post all follow-ups to the newsgroup so all may benefit.
