When i justify a paragraph of text- it justifies the last line so if there
are just four words- these are spaced out across the line and it looks silly.
is there anyway to stop this?

If you set the alignment to Justified in the Format Paragraph dialog
(shortcut Ctrl+J), it won't do that.

You probably applied "full justification" with Ctrl+Shift+J. That's a
different alignment, for which there's no corresponding value in the dialog.

It's also possible to get a similar effect by hitting Shift+Enter (manual
line break) at the end of the last line instead of Enter (paragraph break).
Sometimes you get that when pasting text from a web page or other non-Word
source. The difference is that the Shift+Enter expands only the spaces
between words, while full justification also adds space between the
characters within the words.

Maybe the last line of the paragraph has been ended with a end of line
(Shift+enter). To check put on your non printable characters using the ¶
button on your toolbar. If there is an arrow like character at the end of
the paragraph remove it. See if that helps, if not, report back.
