How do I overline text to indicate Boolean logical NOT ?
I want to put Boolean equations in a document, and want to use overscored
text to indicate a logical NOT operation. The Word Help suggested highlighting the text and using the Borders and Shading dialog to apply an overscore, but when I clicked on the top line button, it activated all 4 buttons and just resulted in the text being surrounded by a box. Any other suggestions? I'm using Word 2003 SP 2. |

Hi Tony,
You can do this with an EQ field. For details see http://gregmaxey.mvps.org/Banner_Text.htm. -- Hope this helps, Pesach Shelnitz "tonyl" wrote: I want to put Boolean equations in a document, and want to use overscored text to indicate a logical NOT operation. How do I overline text to indicate Boolean logical NOT ?
Try http://sbarnhill.mvps.org/WordFAQs/Overbar.htm
But to my knowledge, 'overscored text' does not indicate a logical NOT operation at all. "~" in front of the symbol does. 'overscored text' is mostly used to indicate averages.
