See http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/Formatting/NonPrintChars.htm. But if it is on
every line, then either you're pressing Enter at the end of every line or
you've pasted some plain text; in the latter case, see

If it looks like ¶ then it's a paragraph mark. Look at the toolbar (or
the Home ribbon if this is Word 2007) and click the button with the
same symbol on it. Or use the shortcut, Ctrl+Shift+8 (press all three
keys at the same time).

And if it's on every line, you're pressing the Enter key at the end of
every line. Don't do that! Press Enter only at the end of a paragraph.

Default How do I remove a symbol on every line of my document?

Hi,

I have never seen somebody with that specific issue. MY understanding is nor
that clear. Can you expand on it?

On the other hand, you may want to try to use the " find and replace"
property in word and maybe insert the symbol in the find box and replace it
by a blank space. Also, I was also thinking that you might be viewing the
word document under the show/hide feature. Check under the " Paragraph " tab
and click on the upper right button showing a symbol that looks like a II.
Click on that and see if it disappears.

Let me know if this solves your problem,
