Two unconnected problems he

1. Set the macro security level to medium and to trust installed templates
and add-ins. That will get rid of the warning message, unless there are
macros in the document itself, when you will be asked whether you want to
allow them or not.

2. "Margin marks or crop marks appear on each corner of the page when you
open a document in Word 2002 or in Word 2003"

Thank you Graham this partially resolved my problem but I now get the
following security warning contained in a box which is as follows

C\Program Files\Microsoft office\OFFICE 11\STARTUP\annotate.dot contains
macros.

Then below

Macros may contain viruses it is usually safe to disable macros, but if
macros are legitimate you might lose some functionality. Positioned below are
3 buttons, Disable macros Enable macros More info. If I click on enable
macros I revert back to the origional proble. Any suggestions?

annotate.dot is a file that someone added to your system to provide
different or additional functions in Word. Probably some other software that
you installed added this. If you want to keep it, consider moving it to your
Word startup folder, which is a trusted location. You can find (or set) the
location of this folder by using
Tools Options Startup files

If you move the file there, you will not receive the warning.

I don't know where annotate.dot came from - it isn't part of Word - but as
you are clearly not using it, you could remove the file from the Office
startup folder and the warning in relation to that file will go away.
