I loaded Office 2003 and in Word I can not do any editing. I can't use the
arrow and click on the document to do any editing? can anyone help me with
this problem?

Do you have this problem with all documents (if with the empty one
coming up when you start Word), or only with some?

If the former: Click Help Activate Product
