modify styles
In Word 2000 and previous versions, you can update a style definition simply
by selecting the style in the drop-down list from the toolbar and then selecting "Update the style to reflect recent changes" or "Reapply the formatting of the style to the selection." Where can I find this option in Word 2003? |

It will still work the same way in Word 2003 if you check the box for
"Prompt to update style" on the Edit tab of Tools | Options. -- Suzanne S.
