Locking formatting
I am using Word 2002 and I would like to make a formatted document and lock
the formatting to users but still allow the users to enter text into the fields. I know this is possible with Word 2007 but I need to know if I can do this in Word 2002. |

Locking formatting
You can create a form. See
http://word.mvps.org/faqs/customizat...nTheBlanks.htm. If you are referring to marking certain areas as "unrestricted" (which you can do in Word 2003 and 2007; see http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/wo...CH010397751033 "Allow editing in a protected document") I don't think this is possible in Word 2002. What you can do is insert section breaks and leave one or more sections unprotected. -- Stefan Blom Microsoft Word MVP "Formatting Folly" wrote in message ...
