numbered list format problems
I am creating a very large document with several different numbered lists in
different sections. I have updated the style of the of the list to make sure I get consistent styles across all sections. The problem I am having is whenever I select "restart at 1" the style completely changes and I have to manually reset the style. Example of first list: 1) .... 2) .... 3) .... Example of second list in another section that needs to "restart at 1": 1) .... 2) .... 3) .... If I select the correct style and re-apply to fix the format, it changes the list and starts at 4) instead of fixing the style and starting at 1). This has been an on-going battle. Additionally, when re-applying the style, it also has a tendency change the styles of ones I didn't even touch, causing me to re-reviewng the entire document each time. Any help or insight into fixing this problem would be greatly appreciated! Thanks! |
