Default Word should retain customised toolbar seetings and fonts

Word 2003 will not retain the toolbar customisation between sessions. Instead
it reverts (only partly) to the original default. In addition, single labels
revert to the 12 pt Times New Roman font no matter how many times it is
altered and set as the default template.
