Default macros for court reporter transcripts?

Looking to set up macros for court transcrpts, i.e., Q: A: MR. SMITH: .
How to set up in document so that all you have to type afterwards is, for
example, ALTQ for question or ALT A for A: or ALT S for Mr. Smith.

thank you.

No macros needed. You need two styles and an AutoText or AutoCorrect entry.

1. Define a new style called Answer. In the New Style dialog, select Format
| Numbering. If you didn't need a colon following Q, you could use a
bulleted style with Q as the bullet. As it is, you'll need to use a
"Numbered" style, so select the Numbered tab, choose any pane (the first is
as good as any), and click customize. Select "(none)" for the number style.
In the "Number format" box, type A: Define your indents as desired (be aware
that indents in numbered/bulleted paragraphs must be set in this dialog;
indents--other than a right indent--set in the Paragraph dialog will be
overridden).

2. Define a second style called Question. Proceed as for the Answer style
except that you will use Q: as the number format. Select Answer as the
"Style for following paragraph" in the New Style dialog. This way, when you
press Enter at the end of a question, you'll automatically get the Answer
style. If you want the styles to alternate, set Question as the following
style for the Answer style. If answers are likely to have multiple
paragraphs, you may want instead to assign a keyboard shortcut to your
Question style (I would suggest Ctrl+Alt+Q as a shortcut unlikely to be
assigned to any other function).

3. Create an AutoText or (preferably) AutoCorrect entry for "Mr. Smith." For
instructions on this see
