Default grammer check cannot identify "They was sleeping"

Grammer check can't detect errors like " they was here", " i were here". It
is not like previous versions where even wrong punctuation marks were also
detected.

It would seem that you have either turned off Grammar checking or you have
set the document to no proofing. I know the grammar checker is far from
perfect but it definitely picks up those type of errors.

....or even those types of errors. But note that "i were here" would be
AutoCorrected to "I were here," which would not be marked incorrect if it
followed "if."
