Default Buying Word is Confusing - Some Help Please

The Microsoft Works suite contains the previous version of Word - This is
version 2002 or Word 10. This is usually the cheapest way of buying Word
from Microsoft.
The current version of Word is Word 11 (commonly known as Word 2003) which
is included with the Office 2003 suite of programs.
Word Version 12 is currently subject to beta testing and will be made
available when that testing is completed.

Microsoft Office 2003 Win32 Eng ACAD-6.0

A friend asked me to help her understand the difference between the
various MS wordprocesser options.

Apparently Word 2002 costs more than Works that contains it.

Can somebody tell me what all the abbreviations in this mean?

Microsoft Office 2003 Win32 Eng ACAD-6.0

Is it really true that 2003 is the latest version of Word?

What do

Win32 (It will run on a modern computer?)
Eng (English edition?)
ACAD (Advice and Counselling on Alcohol and Drugs? I Googled it.)
6.0 (sixth revision of the 2003 version?)

say about this item?

Do any of them suggest this package is not appropriate for an ordinary
user?
