Cannot Delete Page
Word 2007 has created a third page to my document that I simply cannot get
rid of. The page is blank except for the header. Using "reveal codes" (or whatever it is called in Word), I can see that the only thing on the page is a ¶ symbol (paragraph symbol?). I tried to delete it, but when I select it and hit delete, it will not go away. I have tried the three different solutions for "Delete Page" in the Word 2007 help, but none of them work. How do I get rid of the ¶ symbol and remove this unwanted page? The help says to highlight and delete the "page break" but I do not see such a symbol. What does a "page break" symbol look like? Also, is there a table somewhere of the "hidden" formatting codes used in Word? I can't figure out what some of those symbols mean (what the heck is "¤" ?). Thanks for your help. |

Cannot Delete Page
Word will not let you delete the last paragraph mark in a document. That's
where a lot of the document formatting and other document information resides. You can still get rid of your unwanted page though. 1. Shorten the page before, 2. Reduce the size of the paragraph mark to, say, 3 points and change any space before and after the paragraph mark to zero, 3. Apply the hidden font attribute to the paragraph mark. If you choose this one, the paragraph mark and page will not appear whenever you are NOT showing formatting marks. And speaking of formatting marks, the smaller "¤" within a table cell is an end of cell marker. The one on the right and outside the table is an end of row marker. Hope this helps, Pam C "domtrump" wrote: Word 2007 has created a third page to my document that I simply cannot get rid of. The page is blank except for the header. Or you could delete the paragraph mark at the end of the paragraph
_preceding_ the "empty" paragraph mark.
