Word is shrinking the document size while printing
My MS Word installation was fine till recently, when it suddenly started
printing my documents in a condensed size. For example, when a letter has been typed to fit into a 1-inch margin on all sides on an A4 sheet in a character size 12 and appears filling-in the full page on the screen, upon printing it comes out with smaller character size and leaves about 3 inch margin on the right, as also a larger margin on the bottom. The margin and page size settings on the 'Page Setup' menu remain correct. It may have started occuring with some unplanned interfacte with the MS Outlook program. Thanks for helping out. |

The usual reason for this (Word 2002 and 2003) is that the document contains
tracked changes or comments, and Word is allowing margin space for the "balloons." If you don't want to accept the changes and delete the comments, either change the view (on the Reviewing toolbar) from Final Showing Markup to Final or print through the Print dialog (Ctrl+P), selecting "Document" rather than "Document showing markup" under "Print what." -- Suzanne S. Word is shrinking the document size while printing
Thank you, this works.
Secondary question: I put on the Tracking option on only a few documents. However, Word 2003 by itself seems to maintain the Tracking option and Reviewing bar on all documents. How can I make it stay off by Default? Thank you. "Suzanne S. As a general rule, when you open one document from the window of another,
Word applies the same window settings (wrt toolbars displayed) to the new document window. -- Suzanne S.
