Reinstalling Word
Hi, I have searched the forum for my problem, but I haven't found an answer.
Hoping someone can help. I installed Word 2003 about a month ago. Few weeks ago (which I also asked the forum for help with this stupid problem I caused), I inadverdently created a macro and used the PF9 key to store a function that I do repeatedly. The PF9 key is the refresh key that I always used for refreshing my TOC. Yesterday I uninstalled word (from Control/Add-Remove Programs feature) and reinstalled the Word 2003 all over. However, I realized that it didn't override or do a fresh install. When I launched word (after reboots, etc.) Pf9 key was still working with my own macro setup. How can I do a complete fresh reinstall of Word? Any suggestions I would so appreciate. Thanks. |

Reinstalling Word
Keyboard customizations are usually stored in Word's Normal.dot
template. Normal.dot is not usually deleted when you uninstall Office. With Word closed, locate your Normal.dot file as described in Method 1 in http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/AppErrors/...ocNotBlank.htm , and rename it to Normal.old. When you start Word again, Word will create a new Normal.dot template. If desired, you can copy customizations from your old Normal.dot to the new Normal.dot by clicking on the Organizer tool in Tools | Templates and Addins. rp2chil wrote: Hi, I have searched the forum for my problem, but I haven't found an answer.
