Default dateofbirth to age in mailmerge field

I have a mailmerge field containing date of birth .
I want to display the correct age in years.
I have numerous vba functions I can use to calculate the age, but how do I
go about applying a function to a mailmerge field?

I would suggest that you do the calculation in the datasource.
