I'm sorry, your question is not specific enough to give you a specific answer. A great deal depends on what you mean by "specific text". It also depends on whether macros are enabled on the user's machine, and on how you plan to distribute the template to users (email, network, web page, etc.). Some possible answers include: - a protected form: http://www.computorcompanion.com/LPMArticle.asp?ID=22 - a popup dialog (userform): http://www.word.mvps.org/FAQs/Userfo...eAUserForm.htm - macrobutton fields: http://www.word.mvps.org/FAQs/TblsFl...acroButton.htm - AutoTextList fields: http://www.word.mvps.org/FAQs/TblsFl...toTextList.htm Each of these is very different from the others, and has different strengths and drawbacks that depend on how the form will be used. -- Regards, Jay Freedman Microsoft Word MVP FAQ: http://word.mvps.org Email cannot be acknowledged; please post all follow-ups to the newsgroup so all may benefit. |
