Default How do I turn on the format contextual tab?

When selecting items that should turn on the format contextual tab, that
isn't happening. Is there a way to turn on the tab manually?

I assume from your question that you're using Word 2007, right?

What exactly are you clicking on? Perhaps what you're clicking on doesn't
have a contextual tab.

Also, keep in mind that the various contextual tabs always appear at the end
of the Ribbon, BUT Word doesn't automatically switch to those tabs (if it
did, it would be very annoying).

So to get to the Format Photo contextual tab, for example, you'd have to a)
click on a photo and then b) click on the Format Photo tab.

Please let us know if this answers your question. If not, provide more
details and I'll see what I can do.

Thanks,
Ben

Does the tab appear and you are just not switched to it? Or does the tab
not appear at all?

There is actually a pretty complicated algorithm that determines when
Word switches to them automatically and when not.
