syntax error in word 2003 table
this is a strange one for my first post, and im sure its quite simple,
something i am overlooking. i have a simple table in word 2003, and using a formula to calculate VAT of 17.5%, which is easy, BUT i have a friend, also using word 2003 who does exactly the same formula in a table on her PC, and she gets 'syntax error'. she sent me the document she was working on, and i did the F9 command to update the field, and it gave me the value. so from that it seems like there is a different setting on her PC, i just dont knwo what it is, any ideas? thanks |

Check the regional options in Windows. Your friend could have a
different symbol specified for decimal sign and/or list separator. -- Stefan Blom Microsoft Word MVP "GaryT85" wrote in message ... this is a strange one for my first post, and im sure its quite simple, something i am overlooking. i have a simple table in word 2003, and using a formula to calculate VAT of 17.5%, which is easy, BUT i have a friend, also using word 2003 who does exactly the same formula in a table on her PC, and she gets 'syntax error'. she sent me the document she was working on, and i did the F9 command to update the field, and it gave me the value. so from that it seems like there is a different setting on her PC, i just dont knwo what it is, any ideas? thanks |
