Default double click on an embedded Excel object but don't show the conten

I just changed computers. When I double click on an embedded excel object in
a word document, it opens up Excel but the contents of the file is not being
displayed. It worked in my old computer. I assume there is a setting that I'm
missing. I'm using Windows XP.

1. If you're using Symantec/Norton AntiVirus, try disabling
the Office Plugin that comes with it. See
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=329820 "How to use Office
programs with the Norton AntiVirus Office plug-in" for more
information.
2. In Excel, click on Tools | Options | General | uncheck the
"Ignore other applications" box | OK.
3. If the above doesn't help, then close Excel and
re-register Excel in Windows by clicking on Start | Run | Open:
excel /unregserver | OK | Open: excel /regserver | OK.
