Default Track Changes

Word2003 on XP

The document is from a client. The user put it on our system and made
changes to it. The user wants the client to have one color show up when
making changes and the user to have another color show up when making
changes. They need to be color coded.

Each time I open the document the colors show up to whatever I have set.

Thank you.

Check your Tools Options Track Changes tab and make
sure all the Color list boxes are set to "By Author."

Unfortunately, that's the way Word was designed. The colors for different
reviewers will be different, but the order of the colors won't be the same
on different computers (because that information is stored in the registry
of each computer, not in the document file).

A change in this behavior has been requested before, but I don't know
whether it's on Microsoft's list of enhancements.
