I thought I had my wildcard search problem from here licked:

Apparently not. When I do a search for the following regex string from the
top of the document, it finds and highlights an incorrect result (I believe
this is related to the non-highlighted result that led to my previous post on
this topic). Hit Find again and the correct result is highlighted.

^m??[a-z]@t[ie ]@5.?.[0-9]@^tBuilding Incident Commander[: ]@?[a-zA-Z
']@Pandemic

(Ooh... exciting! I just found a way to cause the non-highlight result.
Simply add a few characters of text at the start of the document, then run
the search from the start of doc. Voila! no highlight and no "not found"
message".)

Oddly, when I delete the TC field on the second page, the search works just
fine.

BTW, searching up from end of doc generally produces the desired results.

Since descriptions of problems often suck, I've pasted the XML source of my
extremely pared-down Word document below, so that someone can see this
firsthand. (I hope this is permitted, as I know of no way to attach
documents.)
