Copying Shading from Excel Worksheet to Word Table
Does anyone know how to copy the shading from an Excel spreadsheet into a
Word table? The text copies, but not the color-coding that I have used in the spreadsheet. Thanks in advance! Sharon |

Copying Shading from Excel Worksheet to Word Table
Hi ?B?U2hhcm9uX29mX1dW?=,
Does anyone know how to copy the shading from an Excel spreadsheet into a Word table? The text copies, but not the color-coding that I have used in the spreadsheet. Which version of Office do you have? How did you apply the shading to the cells you're copying? What commands are you using to copy in Excel and insert the table into Word? Using Office 2003, the "shading" button on Excel's toolbar, and "plain vanilla" copy/paste, the shading comes across. Copying Shading from Excel Worksheet to Word Table
Actually I guess I worded the question wrong (or didn't provide enough
information). I was cutting & pasting from Excel into an EXISTING table in word. If I past from Excel directly into word (in which a new table is formed in Word) the shading copies. It does not copy when pasting into an existing table. Is there any way to get around that? I am using Office 2003. Thanks for your help and I apologize for having to be more specific now when I should have been initially. I am using Office 2003. Here, it does... The cursor is in a cell, in an existing table; I paste; the shading is there. When you paste, if all the options are activated, the "Paste Options" button should show up at the bottom right of what you just pasted. Does choosing any of the options give you a different result?
