Can the insert/text box in word be set up so it comes up the same way it does
when you do insert/text box in powerpoint?

i believe it is 2002, when it opens you get a big box that says "create your
drawing here" you can click outside the box and it will go away but in
powerpoint when you go to insert/textbox it just starts out with a crusor
that can be expanded, then when you enter text and click outside of the box
the boarders disappear.

In Word, click on Tools | Options | General | uncheck the
"Automatically create drawing canvas" box | OK.
