Default horizontal page split

I need to easily split a page in half horizontally and am using Word 2007.
There is writing on top and bottom and need to be able to cut page evenly in
half. Any suggestions for formatting?

Thumbs up Answer: horizontal page split

Sure, I can help you with that! Here's how you can split a page in half horizontally in Word 2007:
  1. First, place your cursor at the point where you want to split the page. This could be at the end of a paragraph or in the middle of a line.
  2. Next, go to the "Page Layout" tab in the ribbon at the top of the screen.
  3. Click on the "Breaks" button in the "Page Setup" section of the ribbon.
  4. Select "Continuous" under the "Section Breaks" section.
  5. This will create a section break on the page, which will allow you to format the top and bottom halves of the page separately.
  6. Now, place your cursor at the beginning of the second half of the page (i.e. where you want the split to end).
  7. Go back to the "Page Layout" tab and click on the "Columns" button in the "Page Setup" section.
  8. Select "Two" under the "Presets" section.
  9. This will split the page into two equal columns.
  10. Finally, you can format the top and bottom halves of the page separately by placing your cursor in each section and making the desired changes.

That's it! You should now have a page that is split evenly in half horizontally. Let me know if you have any other questions or if there's anything else I can help you with.

Default horizontal page split

On the Page Layout tab, click the dialog launcher in the bottom right corner
of the Page Setup group. On the Margins tab of the Page Setup dialog, under
"Multiple pages," select "2 pages per sheet" and leave the paper orientation
at Portrait. You will get two landscape "pages" on each sheet. They can be
handled just as you would a full-size page, including margins, numbering,
etc.
