How do I control space before and after hyphen in Word?
I am having difficulty with hyphens in the colun of a table. I am using
hyphens between numbers. The hyphen seems to be closer to the number on the left than the number on the right. The column is center-aligned. I have enclosed an example. The hyphen between 15 and 6 below is acceptable, the others are not. The hyphen is closer to the 8 than the 1 in 12, 6 than the 1 in ten and 0 in 10 than the 1 in 15 15-6 8-12 6-10 10-15 |

Rather than using centered text, add a decimal tab stop to the
relevant table cells. -- Stefan Blom Microsoft Word MVP "BARTMAN1955" wrote in message ... I am having difficulty with hyphens in the colun of a table. I am using hyphens between numbers. Keep in mind that digits are fixed-width, even in proportional fonts. Thus,
if you have 9-1, the 1 takes up just as much horizontal space as 9, meaning there is more white space around it. -- Ted |
