Word as Data Entry Form for Access?
Is it possible to create a Word template where users can input information
and click a button which then adds the added information into fields in an Access database? Word 2003 and Access 2003. If so, please provide a link to instructions or more info. TIA MarieJ |

Word as Data Entry Form for Access?
Although this "can" be done it is a rather complex task & renders a very
fragile result. IMHO, You'd be far better off allowing those users into Access to enter data through a Form there - security & permissions in the Access file can be established to allow that activity *only* if need be. Also, the form can be far simpler to create & includ properties to prevent anything other than entering data. Alternatively, consider using Access' Data Access Pages if the users cannot have the program available. The company's intranet or network would permit use of the Page through the user's browser (IE 6 or later, I believe). -- HTH |:) Bob Jones [MVP] Office:Mac "MarieJ" wrote in message ...
