Default Automatic cap after a number

How do I get Word XP to automatically capitalize the first letter of the
first word that I enter after a number (i.e., in a list)? It happens with
bullets, but I can't figure out how it works with numbers.

Unfortunately, this is broken in Word 2002 and 2003. The only known
workaround is to use one of the two Shift keys on your keyboard. See €śWord
does not capitalize the first letter of a sentence€ť at
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/291538.
