Default Migrating from WordPerfect, would it be best to go to

Office 2003 or 2007. I need to convert WP macros and Merges.
I have a fairly good understanding of AutoText, Auto Complete and templates
in Office 2003. Not sure if I can accomplish the same things in 2007.
QuickParts just doesnt seem as easy to use as the previous features. The
boss wants to go to 2007, figuring in 2 years 2003 will be obsolete. Any
thoughts?

The boss is the boss - and he is probably right It might take you the two
years to get used to it.
Apart from autocomplete, the functions you list are similar in Word 2003 and
2007. They are just laid out differently.

Vicky, I agree with Graham: go ahead and go with Office 2007. It will be
harder for you to learn 2003 and then unlearn it and shift to 2007, than to
just go with 2007 from the get-go. Also, you may find that many of your
macros in WordPerfect can be replaced by AutoText (Quick Parts) in Word,
saving you a lot of work in conversion from one to the other; at least,
that's what we found in our office.
